Tour Summary

Join Boutique Tours & Travel luxury small group Rajasthan Classic and Cultural Tour of India.

Rajasthan, the ‘Land of Kings’ is India at it most colourful.

This is the home of the proud Rajput princes who have controlled this part of India for a thousand years. Their fortified cities and citadels now enthral the traveller. The local people add that brilliant splash of colour and the state contains some of the most impressive wildlife sanctuaries in the whole of India. Our journey will take us to some unforgettable sites in Rajasthan.

Explore the architecture and history of Dehli. Marvel and soak up the wonders of the Taj Mahal. Built out of love, this is one monument you never tire of seeing. Experience a safari at Ranthambhore National Park to catch a glimpse of the Indian Bengal tiger and other wildlife. Tour Jaipur, known as the 'Pink City' of Rajasthan, since so many of its buildings are painted in a lovely pink hue. The visit to Chhatra Sagar is a country experience that’s unprecedented. The amazing 'Blue City' of Jodhpur, now the second largest city in Rajasthan with massive fort topping a sheer rocky ridge in the middle of town dominates Jodhpur. A 10km long wall surrounds the old city of Jodhpur and we have time to wander through the jumble of streets in the old city out of which eight gates lead. The dessert city of Jaisalmer, the 'Golden City' once a bustling city of the Silk Road. Rohert Garh is breathtaking in all its simplicity and finally you will be smitten with Udaipur, the city around a lake, once also known as the “Venice of the East” with the glistening lake contrasting with lush green hills and the stunning palaces that are straight out of a fairy-tale book. Join us as a group couple or solo traveller, and we have many on our tours.

This peaceful unique tented camp of Chhatra Sagar is perched dramatically above a picturesque 100-year old reservoir that is set on 1400 acres in the lush, green oasis. It was a former hunting lodge of the Nimaj Estate, and is now run by the great grandchildren of the original founder.

This very individual camp is a modern recreation of the shikar camps of yesteryear and is situated between Jaipur and Jodhpur.

Each of the 13 beautifully decorated spacious tents is wonderfully appointed and extremely comfortable, with en suite bathroom and a private seating area offering panoramic views overlooking the lake.

Relish the sumptuous meals that are cooked in the family kitchen by your hosts  using traditional recipes passed down through the generations with organically grown food in the beautiful dining tent or under a million stars,

Cooking demonstrations are also available to guests.

The hosts offer nature walks on their estate which  has a variety of wildlife, in particular antelope and birds of prey and the brothers who own the land are extremely knowledgeable about all the bird and animal life in the area. Chhatra Sagar also attracts huge numbers of migratory birds.
